My mid-priced apartment complex is now refurbishing its apartments with stainless steel appliances.
Now that stainless steel and granite countertops are becoming mainstream, what are the high-end kitchens using for appliances and countertop surfaces these days?
Wood. It can be abused, re-sanded, and re-finished very cheaply. It’s made to be used and loves to be abused. (I asked!)
I suppose one could say the same for granite, but I haven’t tried sanding that in a while, and I wonder how it treats knives.
